Biographical summary Joseph and Haim Amzalak were among the leading figures of the Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel of the 19th century, being involved in banking. Both were British citizens and held a number of positions as trade representatives. Also James, who was born to a later generation, kept holding an outstanding position and was active in the British overseas club in the early 20th century.
Ownership history The collection was permanently deposited in the Archive department by Ruth Kark on June 1985.
Language Note The documents of the collection include English, French, Turkish, Italian, and Hebrew.
