Biographical summary יעקב פרידמן, משורר יידיש, נולד במילניצה, 1910. התגורר בצ'רנוביץ ובורשה, שם פרסם את בכורי שיריו. עם כבוש צ'רנוביץ על ידי הגרמנים ב 1941, גורש לטרנסניסטריה, משם נמלט לגטו ברשד. לאחר שחרורו מהגטו חזר לבוקרשט בה היה פעיל מאד בהחייאת תרבות יידיש. בשנת 1949 עלה לישראל דרך מחנות העצורים מבקפריסין. בארץ התגורר בבית דגון עד 1959, ולאחר מכן עבר לרמת אביב בה התגורר עד יום מותו 12.11.1972.
Ownership history הארכיון נמסר ב 21.10.03 בידי ד"ר אליהו סלע, בשם בתו של המשורר חנה ברקמן.
Language Note הארכיון רובו ביידיש ובעברית, מקצת תרגומים בו לספרדית, גרמנית, אנגלית, ורומנית.
