Biographical summary ישראל בן מנחם מנדל מייזל נולד ב 1868. היה פעיל בועד הקהלה בקייב. עלה לארץ ישראל ב-1925. היה חבר מועצת בית העלמין בתל אביב-יפו, גזבר חברה קדישא. ממיסדי בית הכנסת "יבנה" בתל אביב. אביו של סופר היידיש נחמן מייזל ומחותנו של הרב הראשי לתל אביב יפו הרב שלמה אהרונסון,(קרוצ'י 1863-תל אביב 1935) פעיל בארגון העזרה ליהודי רוסיה. ישראל מייזל נפטר בתל אביב 1951.
