Biographical summary Richard Koebner was born in Breslau in 1885. He got his PhD in Berlin in 1911 and in 1920 became a professor in Brelau University for medieval and early modern history. After being fired in 1933 because of the Nazi regime, he made an Aliyah to mandatory Palestine, and was one of the founders of the Hebrew University's history department. Most of his research regards subjects such as empire & imperialism, urban development and German expansi He on eastward. He died in Jerusalem in 1958.
Ownership history The archive was given to the Library as part of the Yehoshua Arieli Archive.
