Biographical summary לאה גולדברג היתה משוררת, סופרת ומתרגמת
חוקרת ספרות ומן המשפיעות בקרב בני דורה על עיצוב התרבות העברית. גולדברג נולדה בעיר קניגסברג (אז ליטא) בשנת 1911. עלתה לארץ ישראל בשנת 1935. משנת 1952 היתה מרצה בחוג לספרות כללית באוניברסיטה העברית, ואחר כך ראש החוג לספרות השוואתית. כתבה שירה, פרוזה, מחזות, מסות, ספרי ילדים בשיר ובפרוזה, תרגומים ואף עסקה בציור. לאה גולדברג נפטרה בירושלים בשנת 1970. לאחר פטירתה הוענק לה פרס ישראל.
Ownership history מכתבים של לאה גולדברג מתנת Ilsabe Huenke von Podewils 1989. תוספת נתקבלה על ידי א"ב יפה ב 2005, על ידי רבקה גוילי ברוידא, עדית יאפו ועוד.
