Biographical summary |
Priekopa (Slovakia) 1867-London 1939. Rabbi, theologian and historian. Early studies at Budapest and Breslau Seminary, Ph. D. at Leipzig University in 1890 and rabbinical ordination at Budapest in 1892. Till 1905 instructor at the Vienna Jewish Theological Seminary, teaching Jewish history, Bible and Talmud. From 1905 chief-assistant of Michael Friedlander, principal of Jews College in London 1907-1939 principal. |

The archive was purchased in 1984 from Dr. Lionel Kochan, Oxford, together with the the archives of Jacob Polak and Adolf Neubauer. |
