Biographical summary Metz 1859-Paris 1936. French poet and author. Outstanding poet of the Symbolist movement, was also an art critic. Published poetry books, essays on French painters, a work of criticism and novels, some of them with jewish themes. Enthusiastic advocate of the Zionist cause, for many years editor of the Menorah, French Zionist periodical.
Ownership history After his death the archive was deposited at the National Library.
