שיר חתונה לנישואי אברם פלטיאל חיים מאקיורו וכלתו שרה פינסו. השיר הוא באיטלקית, "Madriggale". סביבו ציור עגול, בנוי אותיות המתחברות בצורות שונות למשפט: "אברהם חיים ושרה נבונים חתן וכלה נאמנים". לפני השיר: אז ישיר משה ובני ישראל את השירה הזאת יום ד ט לחדש כסליו שנת (תנ"ו) לבריאת עולם, אלה שני המאורות הגדולים, אשר היו לאחדים... והוא חתן... אברהם פלטיאל חיים מאקיורו וכלתו שרה פינסו... ויכתוב משה את השירה הזאת ביום יו לחדש נווימברי 1695. Madrigal composed in Italian by Moise [b. Judah] da Fano, for the marriage of Abram Paltiel Vita Macchioro to Sara Penso on Wednesday, 9 Kislev 5456 (November 16, 1695). The poem is surrounded by a celestial sphere formed by geometrically arranged Hebrew letters and typographic elements, which reads, “Abraham Hayyim and Sarah, the wise and faithful bride and groom,” and repeats itself in an endless loop. The author makes extensive use of gematria, the traditional practice of assigning specific numerical values to individual Hebrew letters to create chronograms representing both the Hebrew year, 5456, and the secular year, 1695. Perhaps not trusting that his readers were sufficiently skilled to understand the concept, da Fano included the numerical values and even wrote out the calculations. |
