היריעה הראשונה חסרה, מתחיל מאסתר ג:ח. נכתב ככל הנראה על פי תקוני דורנו, עם מעט סטיות: ו:ט בתקוני דורנו "והלבשו" ובמגילה נכתב מלא יו"ד "והלבישו" סטיה זאת נפוצה ביותר גם במגילות מאוחרות. ו:ט בתקוני דורנו "והרכיבהו" ובמגילה נכתב חסר יו"ד "והרכבהו". ח:יא בתקוני דורנו "להרג" ובמגילה נכתב "ולהרג", גם סטיה זאת נפוצה ביותר גם במגילות מאוחרות. ט:ב בתקוני דורנו "בפניהם" ובמגילה נכתב "לפניהם", וניכר כי במקור נכתב "בפניהם" ותוקן, גם סטיה זאת נפוצה ביותר גם במגילות מאוחרות. גם הפרשיות ואותיות גדולות וקטנות כמקובל בדורות המאוחרים. המגילה נכתבה כנראה בצפון אפריקה.
