المختصر في الحديث، وهو مشهور بمصابيح السنة، لأبي محمد الحسين بن مسعود الفراء البغوي المتوفى سنة 516 هجري/ 1122؛ وأكمله ولي الدين محمد بن عبد الله الخطيب التبريزي، من علماء القرن الثامن الهجري /الرابع عشر، ذاكراً فيه الصحابي الذي روى الحديث عنه، والكتاب الذي أخرجه عنه، وسماه مشكاة المصابيح، وفرغ منه سنة 737 هجري/ 1336. نسخة كتبت سنة 1182 هجري / 1768ببغداد. أول النسخة: "الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونعوذ بالله ... اما بعد فأن التمسك بهديه لا يستتبّ الا بالاقتداء لما صدر من مشكوته الخ". Mishkāt al-maṣābīḥ. Epitome of the ḥadīth collection Maṣābīḥ al-sunna by Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥusayn b. Masʿūd al-Farrāʾ (d. 516/1122), compiled by Walī al-Dīn Muḥammad b. ʿAbdallāh al-Khaṭīb al-Tabrīzī (fl. eighth/fourteenth century) in 737/1336. Illuminated MS copied in 1182/1768 by Ismāʿīl b. Ṣāliḥ al-Baṣrī in Baghdad. 305 leaves French paper, 14×22 cm 27 lines. The National Library of Israel Jerusalem Israel Ms. Yah.
