בשער: ספר שואל ומשיב ... מה שהמצאתי כמה ספיקות גדולות לדינא ומה שהעירותי עליהם ... וגם הרבה דינים מחודשים ... ובכמה מקומות ... שיטה חדשה אשר לא שערוה שום אחד מהמפרשים ... אני הצעיר יצחק יעקב ריינעס מק"ק קארלין יע"א, בשנת ויזר' באר'ץ ההיא ויב'ר'כ'הו ה' לפ"ק" [=תרכ"ב]. כולל גם דברים שכתב בשנים "תרכ"א" (דף ה ע"א, כב ע"ב), "תבר"ך לפ"ק טעלז" (קכא ע"א), "כ"ו תשרי תרכ"ג, טעלז" (קי ע"ב) ו"תרכ"ו" (נא ע"ב). המחבר מזכיר גם חיבורים אחרים שחיבר: "קונטרס ראשית בכורים" (יא ע"ב ועוד), " שייך לחיבורי הגדול ערך צדק" (צ ע"א), "דרך בים" (קלג ע"א, קלט ע"א). בדף עח ע"א: "שואל ומשיב ח"ב". בדף פ ע"א ועוד הרבה: "טעלז ר"ח כסליו". 79ב: "זה כתבתי בימי עלומי קודם עשרים שנין, ועתה יש הרבה להגיה פה".
