מידע בקטלוג מר-חיים: "מוסיקה על העצים פסטיבל תל חי לאמנות 1980 C14, A63 D13a-הקלטה מרדיו.-C6 הקלטה מהשטח. בהשתתפות נערים ונערות מוסיקליים הגרים בסביבת תל חי. מהם התבלט אדם מאדר יליד כפר הנשיא, אשר למעשה הוא מולטי אינסטרומנטליסט: מנגן על כל הכלים ואמנים רבים נעזרים בשירותיו עד היום. ביצירה "מוסיקה על העצים", שהוזמנה על ידי אמנון ברזל, יוזם הפסטיבל, נבנו מושבים על מספר עצים בחורשת תל חי, והנגנים ישבו עליהם וניגנו יצירה שלי (חצי שעה), מספר פעמים ביום (3 ימים). לאחר שהסתיימה היצירה על העצים ירדו הנגנים וניגנו יצירה פרונטלית בניצוחי (באופן טבעי ישבו על העצים בעיקר כלי הנשיפה, שיכלו להתקרב יותר בקלות למיקרופונים).החזרות נמשכו כחודש וחצי והמופע התקבל בהתלהבות רבה. מי שעמד ליד עץ מסוים שמע בעיקר את הנגן שישב על אותו עץ. מי שהתרחק שמע את המופע בשלמותו. האירוע היה בינלאומי, ואחת המשתתפות, שרלוט מורמן, התפרסמה כשניגנה עירומה על צ'לו ביצירה של ג'והן קייג, ולבשה "חזיית טלוויזיה" עם שני מסכים בהופעותיה האחרות. אמנים ישראלים רבים (סרג' שפיצר, מנשה קדישמן ועוד) שמחו להשתתף וסדנת תל חי עלתה על מפת האמנות העכשווית". הקיטלוג נעשה ללא האזנה לחומר. רשומה כללית ללא פירוט תוכן אוסף יוסי מר-חיים.
