ListenJewish rituals, traditions, and memories were kept alive in the Soviet Union by Yiddish theater and literature. Two important figues in this movement were Solomon Mikhoels and Benjamin Zuskin, who helped establish the Yiddish Theater in Moscow. This video shows scenes from several of their productions, including the title film. Includes interviews with the actors' daughters, who discuss their memories of the theater and its development. |
