The Jewish Legion, formed as an initiative of Zeev Jabotinsky (1880-1940), was the first legitimate Jewish armed force, and served as base for the Hagana organization and afterwards the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces - Tsahal). After the end of the war, the troops were slowly dteriorating untill their final closing in 1920. [M. J.];Back Description - A divided back with the museum's details as a divider, and details of the photograph on the lower left rim.;Back Remarks - The name "The Jewish Brigade", as written in the caption on the back side, is the name of the Jewish troops who opperated during 1944-1945.
