They are sitting on the floor, on carpets, and play music to an assembly which stands behind them. Some of the musicians play violin, others tabour and the one on the left plays the 'rebab', an instrument from the lute family, widespread in Morocco. The Jewish musicians were Kippot (skullcaps), and are similarly dressed in traditional clothes. [S.H]
