The cup shaped like a cone consists of a lid. The wide flat base of the receptacle is surmounted by a vertical foliate design . A horizontal strip of foliate scrolls near the upper rim of the cup surmounts a dedicatory inscription written in two lines in square letters which reads: נדבת הקצין ר' שמעון בן ר' ליב קוא סג"ל )סגן לכהונה( ז"ל )זכרונו לברכה( וזוגתו מרת אידל חיי'/ תי' )תחיה( לח"ק )לחברה קדישא( דג"ח )דגמילות חסדים( שתהי' למשמרת עולם כפי הצוואה שלו שנת תקל"ו לפ"ק " The donation of the officer Rabbi Shimon Son of Rabbi Leib Koh Segal of blessed memory and his wife Idel Haya may she live a long life to the burial society and the benevolant society for eternity according to his will the year [5]536=(1776)". The round raised lid bears two decorative strips. The first bears vertical lines with foliate motifs in between them and the other bears foliate scrolls. An eagle with spread wings perched on a ball is the apex of the lid.
