Next to the piyyut for Shabbat Zakhor זכור את אשר עשה (Davidson, II, ז' No. 112, p. 212), in the upper right part of the page, within a circular framed initial word panel is a bird-headed hazan, on the right, wearing a pointed hat. He raises his left hand and stands before a lectern on which an open book has been placed. On the left is an armoured warrior holding a spear; this figure possibly alludes to Amalek, the arch enemy of Israel.
