The relation between sexual assault, gender identity and well-being among women
Enlarge text Shrink textIn the present dissertation, I extend theinvestigation of the consequences of SA to the victim's gender-related self-perceptions. Tothis end, I focused on gender identity (GI)—a multifaceted psychological construct thatincludes affective and cognitive aspects. I tested the relation between SA, GI facets, andpsychological well-being (WB). I examined the role that changes in GI play in the relationbetween SA and the victim's psychological WB. -- From the abstract
