"דוקטור אריק הדס צפונבון תל אביבי מתנשא וארוגנטי, מגיע מניו יורק הקרה למושב אלירן שבדרום, לביקור תנחומים אצל אהובתו. בפועל הוא מבקש להחזיר אהבות ישנות. בביקורו, נחשף דוקטור הדס לבני המשפחה והקהילה. הביקור הופך למפגש דרמטי עם ילדיה של אהובתו ובני הקהילה. בשובו בקיץ לישראל מתחדשים המפגשים. המפגשים באלירן מסחררים את חייו ונוצרת סביבו קהילה מסתורית גדלה והולכת. המפגשים הופכים למערבולת רגשית ככל שחולף הזמן. משטרת המרחב מגלה בו עניין והמדיה שולפת גם היא את ציפורניה. חומת הניכור המתנשאת בין תל אביב לפריפריה מטילה צל כבד על המפגשים, נועצת שיניה החדות באריק הדס ומאיימת על הקהילה כולה. סוף בלתי צפוי משאיר את הקורא הנדהם עם יותר שאלות מתשובות. זהו רומן חזק שאינו מכבס מילים. הסיפור אקטואלי מאד ונוגע במערכת העצבים החשופה שבין ההאליטות והמקופחים. זו לבה רותחת והכותב נכנס אליה באומץ ובידיים חשופות, גם אם נותן לכעס להוביל אותו לסמטאות חשוכות. כתוב נהדר"-- מן האתר של סטימצקי.
