Aan de hand van ongeveer 500 bruiklenen vertelt de tentoonstelling het fascinerende verhaal van drie millennia joodse godsdienst, cultuur, kunst en geschiedenis. De geschiedenis van een wereldreligie die herkenbaar wist te blijven ondanks grote verschillen wereldwijd. De bruiklenen komen van internationaal gerenommeerde musea en collecties en uit particulier bezit. Absolute topstukken zijn onder andere: een van de Dode Zee-rollen uit de eerste eeuw v. Chr. uit het Israel Museum in Jeruzalem (voor het eerst in Nederland), de oudste complete Torarol, de 'Erfurt Torarol' uit de Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, een werk van Chagall uit het Tel Aviv Museum of Art, maar ook het Alephbet Tapestry van de hedendaagse Russisch-Amerikaanse joodse kunstenaar Grisha Bruskin.00Exhibition: De Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam 2011/2012.
