"עם חלוף השנים אסף רייבן סיפורים על חילופי העונות, על מוות ופרידה, על רעב ושפע. את הסיפורים שטווה אסף בשק עור רך וחבוט, שאותו קשר תמיד לחגורת עור הלווייתן העבה שלמותניו". סיפור ריפוי הוא סיפור עם המסופר בעל פה, ומאפשר לגעת בתכנים שהמטופלים מתקשים לעסוק בהם ישירות, לייצר שיח עוקף הגנות ולבטא תכנים מושתקים.
