"This is a book about museums over the last half century. It is about my work in these institutions, as 'the exhibitionist' of the title, but also my experiences as a director and a student, as an archaeologist and a techie, as a curator and a collector. It roughly follows my career on its zigzagging course from New York to Israel and back again.
