"מקובלים" מזויפים, "קוראי מחשבות" (טלפתיה), "מזיזי חפצים בכוח המחשבה" (טלקינזיס), המשתמשים בטריקים שכל אדם זריז אצבעות ומחשבה, יכול לחקות, בלי כל התערבות של כוחות מיסטיים. בנוסף לכך, מנסה המחבר להגדיר מהו ההבדל בין האמת לשקר בתחומים מיסטיים מעורפלים כגון: כישוף, גלגול נשמות, עין הרע, עבמי"ם, אסטרולוגיה, אמונות טפלות, דיבוק, משיחיות, שדים ורוחות, קמיעות, סיאנסים ועוד...
