Presents photographs from the children's home in Izieu between 1943-44. Established in 1924, the home was run from 1934 by the Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants (OSE) and constituted part of the illegal Garel rescue network between 1943-44. In April 1944 the home was raided by the SS, and 44 children and 7 adults were arrested and deported via Drancy to Auschwitz, where they were killed. The photographs depict the home, the children, everyday activities, and the last weeks before the roundup. Pp. 123-137 include a chronology of the history of the children's home.
