According to E. Roy, La vie et les œuvres de Charles Sorel (1891) p. 9, "La fortune de la cour" is an enlarged and revised (plagiarized?) version of Pierre de Dampmartin's Le bonheur de la cour, which C. Sorel ascribed to his uncle Pierre Sorel, sieur de la Neuville.
"Eloge de Marguerite de Valois" and "Eloge de monsieur de Bussy" are by Brantôme.
