Discusses the paradoxical ideological alliance between the Arab, and especially Palestinian, nationalists fighting Israel and the Jewish anti-Zionist Left in Israel and the diaspora. The ideological goal of both is to transform the State of Israel from a Jewish state to a binational one; however, the Jewish Left does not realize that the goals of the Arab nationalists go much farther than that. The guiding myth of the Jewish Left contains a number of faulty beliefs, in particular that the Arab-Israeli conflict is merely a conflict for a strip of territory, that the peace is "around the corner" and has not been reached only because of Israeli obstinacy, and that a new Holocaust is impossible. The anti-Zionism of the Arab, in particular Palestinian, nationalists is in fact antisemitism. Their discourse, including school textbooks, contain elements such as demonization and dehumanization of Jews, "Protocols"-style belief in a Jewish conspiracy, Holocaust denial, equating Israelis with Nazis, etc. They systematically falsify history, denying the historicity of the ancient Israeli Kingdom and even the existence of the Jewish people; Palestine is regarded as a perennially Arab territory. The mythology of the Jewish anti-Zionist Left also contains many elements of antisemitism, and is in fact a kind of Jewish self-hatred.
