Presents brief essays on the Jewish community of Dubasari (Dubossary) in Moldova, by former residents, in Hebrew and Yiddish. Some of the essays discuss a blood libel in 1903 and pogroms in the early 1900s. Pp. 250-264 in Hebrew and 265-285 in Yiddish contain an article by Arkadii Timor which includes information on the fate of the Jewish community in the Holocaust. With the German occupation of the town in July 1941, some of the ca. 8,000 Jewish residents fled to the East. Hundreds of Jews were killed immediately; ca. 6,000 Jews were interned briefly in a ghetto and then murdered. Discusses, also, Jewish participation in resistance activities and in the Soviet army.
