JP was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1928. His father was a professional officer in the Polish Army. During the Holocaust, he jailed by the Gestapo, and sent to Pawiak, Gross Rosen and Leitmeritz camps. At the time of the interview, he was a government clerk still living in Swidnica, Poland.
