Discusses brother, Avraham Michael Kirshenboim and his role defending Yemin Moshe during War of Independence. Born Mishkenot Shaananim neighbourhood of Jerusalem. Orthodox family, came to Israel during first Aliya. Discusses: being member of Haganah; doing course with 'Ha Lamed Hey' fighters; being forbidden by commander from accompanying them on mission to Gush Etzion and thus having his life saved; defending Yemin Moshe from Arab attack; period of cooperation between Haganah, Etzel and Lehi; state's recognition of Avraham as a fighter; his grave on Mount of Olives in section for fallen soldiers; honouring his memory in the neighbourhood.
