Born 1920 New Jersey. Pilgrimage to Palestine in 1925 for opening of Hebrew University. Return to U.S. a year later because of health. Aliya in 1937. Studied in Gymnasia Ivrit and then in Yechiel Halperin teachers seminar. 1939 went to 21st Zionist congress, and then with parents to U.S., where stayed for duration of war. Return to Palestine 1946. Sent in July 1947 to Austria as part of teachers emissaries. Became secretary of Eretz Israel delegation. Was liaison between delegation and official bodies- American army, IRO and Joint. Mostly worked on Aliya from Austria. Left Austria in 1950.
