Born in Vienna, 1929. Parents owners of electrical equipment store. Family not orthodox but attending synagogue on holidays. Family fleeing to Shanghai due to father's foreseeing Nazi danger and living in a ghetto there. Marriage at the age of sixteen. Immigrating to Israel with family and husband after Communist take-over, 1949. Being distressed at changes in surroundings and mode of life. Husband killed in the Sinai Campaign, 1956. Work as hairdresser. Second marriage. Not integrated. No Israeli friends. Refusal to accept Israeli citizenship.
