Born in Jerusalem. Religious education. Studies in David Yellin teachers Seminar. Two years studies in Baghdad as emissary of Education Department of Vaad Leummi (1930s). Organizing immigration. Procuring contributions for immigration at sefardi synagogues in Old City of Jerusalem. Recruited for Mosad by Shaul Avigur; sent undercover to Baghdad as representative of Solel Bone, 1945-1946. Regional commander of Hagana in Jerusalem. Emissary to Libya, replacing Dr. Meir Vardi. Opening of Aliya Office in Tripoli by Baruch Duvdevani. Jews gathering from distant villages. Oze health organization attending to many sick people. About seven thousand Jews immigrating from Libya at that time.
