Came to Israel, 1929. Member of Palmah. Head of Bnei Shimon local council, 1951-1954. Work in Absorption Department in Negev. Absorption procedures and work with Rivka Ventura. Establishment of Dimona and Arad impeding development of Yeroham. Employment problems. Industrial enterprises in Negev. Many newcomers refusing to settle in Yeroham and lack of ideals and motivation in those settling. Born in Galicia, Poland, 1920. Religious and secular education. Short term studies at yeshiva in Lublin. Member of Hapoel Hamizrahi. Fled to Russia during World War II, caught and arrested for three years. Stay in Uzbekistan until 1944, return to Poland and move to Germany, 1945. Joined Jewish Agency, 1947. Work in Immigration Department, Germany, with transference of olim from Germany to France during Aliyah Bet, until 1949. Migration to Israel, 1949. Absorption in Kiryat Motzkin and later in Haifa harbor. Absorption of immigrants from Europe and North Africa. Accompaniment and briefing of newcomers on ships coming from Europe, 1954-1970.
