UNED Former chairman of Jewish organizations in France. Left Paris after German occupation. In Vichy, 1940-1943. Alternated between cities of Grenoble, Lyons and Aix-les-Bains helping deportees, hiding them and moving children to Spain and Switzerland. When Vichy occupied, moved to Switzerland, and continued to transfer money from JDC and World Jewish Congress. As refugee in Switzerland, (could?) receive money (only?) via prominent individuals.
