Description
The file contains 29 handwritten and typed letters, three postcards, four telegrams and a print of his obituary on Emil Rathenau. Four letters were written by Rathenau's secretary, Hugo Geitner, and one by P. Kahn, the administrator of Rathenau's will. Also included is the envelope in which the letters were sent by Zweig. The letters are dealing with meetings between Zweig and Rathenau and their publications, with Romain Rolland, and with the political affair of Maximilian Harden. Others mention Cassirer, Gerhart Hauptmann, Albert Ballin, and Zweig's travel to India.
