Biographical summary יוסף פפירניקוב משורר וסופר יידי, נולד בורשה 1899. עלה לארץ ישראל ב1924. חזר לפולין וחי שם בין השנים 1929-1933. שוב חזר לארץ ישראל ונשאר בה עד סוף ימיו. יוסף פפירניקוב היה ממיסדי הספרות ביידיש בארץ ישראל. לחם למען השימוש בשפת היידיש. היה קשור לתנועת הפועלים הציונים הסוציאליסטים. פפירניקוב כתב שירה לירית ושירה מהפכנית, ספורים ומאמרי בקורת אודות סופרים. כן כתב זכרונות אודות סופרים יידיים. נפטר בתל אביב 1993.
