Three of the children: a boy in a brown sailor's suit, a girl in a red dress with a white belt and a boy in a blue sailor's suit, who bends down, stand on the left. The other three: a boy in a brown suit, a boy in a brown sailor's suit and a girl in a red dress with a blue belt and red bow in her hair, stand on the right. All of the boys are wearing caps or yarmulkes. All the children hold bows and arrows, which they are aiming at different directions. They are located in what seems like an open filed with trees and houses at the background. The Yiddish writing at the bottom (ל'ג בעומר בקאלאניע פתח תקוה. א"י) explains that the depicted scene is part of celebrating the Jewish holiday "Lag Ba'Omer" in Petah Tikvah, a town established in 1878 by early Zionists.
