Documentation of Personal Experiences, Testimonies, and Responses from October 7

One of the most important documentation efforts in the project is the gathering of testimonies in varied formats - oral testimonies, audio recordings, WhatsApp messages, and voice memos. The National Library works in collaboration with most of the major oral documentation initiatives to collect, preserve, and make these materials accessible.

As part of the project, the Library places a particular emphasis on collecting testimonies and digital documentation from communities whose voices are often underrepresented, including minority groups. The Library and its partners recognize the importance of returning to these testimonies in the coming years to allow for renewed reflection and understanding of the events with the passage of time.
