A daily diary kept by the youngest member of a tour party organized by [Thomas] Cook tours. Starts in Nottingham, 1.10.1872, and ends there, 11.5.1872. fols. [i, ii] a list of Names and Addresses of the members of the Party. Almost all from England. The entries are progressively less detailed. Fol. 64 totals of participants including servants and animals. Fols. 65-67 two letters to the author's sister June. Family news. Fol. 68a a printed memo signed "T.C." [Thomas Cook] reporting the death of the author from typhus, presumably contracted during the tour, although no mention of disease appears in the diary. Her tombstone is dated 15.6.1872. The author is the only daughter of Thomas J.P. and Caroline Forman. Fol. [69]a: a hymned eulogy "in Memoriam" signed J.P. Fols. 80-82 three newspaper clippings, obituaries of Jesse Forman (1892), probably the author's brother, and her father, Thomas Forman.
