Describing who?

Deplores the fact that the photographs taken in contemporary Poland by professional Jewish - especially American, French, and Israeli - photographers, and the narrative that accompanies them, tend to represent Poland as a large graveyard of Jews rather than a live country populated by Poles and also by some (albeit a few) live Jews. For these artists, Poland's only function is to stand metonymically for the Holocaust; such an approach undermines the basis for Jewish-Polish dialogue. Deplores, also, the ongoing tendency to ascribe responsibility for the Holocaust to the Poles, thus neglecting the Nazi Germans as the initiators of it.
