The introduction (pp. 7-70), "Po obu stronach muru" ["On Both Sides of the Wall"], by Bartoszewszki, describes the situation of the Jews in Poland under the Nazi occupation and aid given to them by the Council for Aid to Jews ("Żegota") and by individuals. Pp. 79-546 contain ca. 200 testimonies on the rescue of Jews, written by Poles and by Jews. Pp. 547-572 present Nazi documents regarding the Jews in Poland and documents concerning the foundation and activities of "Żegota". Includes an English summary (pp. 620-628).
