In Hitler's shadow

Relates the experiences of Svoray, an Israeli man in his thirties, who, with a false identity, attained access to a neo-Nazi organization in Frankfurt for a period of five months in 1992. With a hidden camera and microphone, he collected material on meetings with leading right-wing figures. He obtained information on the structure and activities of the organization, and the extent of its public support, which is more widespread than the government is willing to admit. Svoray engaged in this project, with the collaboration of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, in order to prevent the spread of Nazi ideology and to cause the German government to act more forcefully against neo-Nazi groups.
