The file contains a convolute of four autograph letters, apparently collected by an early collector in the mid-19th century:;a) an autograph letter of two pages written to Gastebois, secretaire en chef on 24 Ventose an 12 (15 March 1804), concerning Bouillon-Lagrange's new process to produce ink.;b) an autograph letter of two pages written in Strassbourg to Deyeux, "premier pharmacien de sa majesté l'empereur" on 8 Frimaire an 14 (25 November 1805), concerning his finished studies, a travel to Munich and other matters.;c) an autograph letter of two pages written in Paris to baron Georges Cuvier on 29 October [1815?] concerning the postition of a professor of physics. On the upper left corner a handwritten remark, apparently by the adressee, explaining that the position is a temporary one and that the candidate needs to have a diploma in mathematics.;d) an autograph letter of one page written in Paris to Julien, editor of the "Revue Encyclopedique" on 9 October 1925 recommending Monsieur Laugier, son of a professor at the Museum d'histoire naturelle.
