1 page in-folio; hand-written, in french;;Copy [or translation?], in French, from a letter by Crowbridge (?) responding to a letter received from the addressee (unknown) in which an account (not annexed) was given, on the condition of passagers on board 'La Vengeance';;Further to an 'etat de provisions' previously sent to him Crowbridge writes that orders were given to supply provisions to the vessel for one week, but states that he can't let the vessel pass after transgressing "tous les droits de pavillon de Cartel" and awaits for further orders from Lord Keith concerning the vessel's destination;
