| תקציר ביוגרפי |
Dreyfus was born in Mulhouse, Alsace to a wealthy assimilated family. He joined the general staff of the French army, where he was the only Jew. In 1894 he was falsely accused of treason, court-martialed and convicted. Only in 1906 was he exonerated and reinstated as a major. He fought in World War 1 and became a lieutenant colonel. |
