The Dome of the Rock called by mistake 'Mosque of Omar'. The decorating of the lower part of the walls are made of marble which create geometric symmetrical shapes. The upper part of the walls decorated in origin with mosaics, but because of changes of time and weather, they were replaced by colored Armenian ceramic tiles. (The tiles in the photo are before the decoration in 1919-1922). On the left of the Dome, there is a building called 'Kubat A Silsila' (Dome of Chain). Probably this building is a memory buildin from the 7th century. The Dome of the Rock: is an Islamic shrine and a major landmark located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
