Piyut Interpretation

  • • שֶׁלֹּא חִסֵּר בְּעוֹלָמוֹ כְּלוּם – שהעולם מלא בכל טוב ובכל מה שדרוש לנו כדי לחיות בו. יש מפרשים: אפילו בדברים שאינם הכרחיים, כגון פירות ופרחים נאים.
    • בְּרִיּוֹת טוֹבוֹת – אולי יש בכך הודאה על רצונם הטוב של הדורות הקודמים, אילולא נטעו הם את העצים לא יכולנו ליהנות מהם עתה. וראו את הסיפור על חוני המעגל, (בבלי, תענית כג, ע"א):. "עלמא בחרובא אשכחתיה, כי היכי דשתלי לי אבהתי שתלי נמי לבראי" - אֲנִי מָצָאתִי אֶת הָעוֹלָם בַּחֲרוּבִים; כְּשֵׁם שֶׁנָּטְעוּ אֲבוֹתַי לִי כָּךְ אֶטַּע אֲנִי לְבָנַי. (מתוך תרגום ספר האגדה).
    • לֵיהָנוֹת – ניתן לדייק: ליהנות ולא לפרנס או לזון. ההודאה היא על ההנאה מדבר שאינו מתבקש או הכרחי. יש הטוענים שהברכה היא דווקא בשעת הפריחה, כשעדיין אין פירות על העץ, כדי להדגיש שמברכים על יופי הפריחה ולא על הפירות העשויים לאכילה או למסחר.
