Piyut Interpretation

  • • אֱמוּנָתוֹ - ה' מאמין בישראל המאמינים בו. ראו למשל תהלים (פט, ו) "אַף־אֱמוּנָתְךָ בִּקְהַל קְדֹשִׁים" ואיכה (ג, כב-כג) "חַסְדֵי ה' כִּי לֹא־תָמְנוּ כִּי לֹא־כָלוּ רַחֲמָיו חֲדָשִׁים לַבְּקָרִים רַבָּה אֱמוּנָתֶךָ".
    • בִּרְכָתוֹ - ה' מברך את ישראל עמו. לדוגמא "וְשָׂמוּ אֶת־שְׁמִי עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲנִי אֲבָרֲכֵם" (במדבר ו, כז) וכן "וְצִוִּיתִי אֶת־בִּרְכָתִי לָכֶם" (ויקרא כה, כא).
    • גַּאֲוָתוֹ - עם ישראל הוא מקור לגאווה עבור הקב"ה. מיוסד על הפסוק בתהלים (סח, לה) "תְּנוּ עֹז לֵאלֹהִים עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל גַּאֲוָתוֹ.
    • דִּבְּרָתוֹ - תורתו שניתנה לישראל, ראו לדוגמא "וְשָׁמְרוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה הַזֹּאת" (דברים לא, יב).
    • וְעִידָתוֹ - דיבורו, המפגש איתו. על-פי רש"י לשמות כט, מג "ונועדתי שמה - אתוועד עמם בדבור, כמלך הקובע מקום מועד לדבר עם עבדיו שם".
    • כַּנָּתוֹ - כנה היא שתיל, ושפת המקרא והפיוט היא משמשת כינוי לישראל. ראו תהלים פ, טו-טז "אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת שׁוּב־נָא הַבֵּט מִשָּׁמַיִם וּרְאֵה וּפְקֹד גֶּפֶן זֹאת: וְכַנָּה אֲשֶׁר־נָטְעָה יְמִינֶךָ וְעַל־בֵּן אִמַּצְתָּה לָּךְ".
    • לְאֻמָּתוֹ - בדומה לביטוי הקודם, על ישראל הקרואים בפי הקב"ה "לאומי", ראו ישעיה נא, ד.
    • נְעִימָתוֹ - ברכתו, טובו, לפי תהלים צ, יז "וִיהִי נֹעַם אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ".
    • סְגֻלָּתוֹ - על ישראל המכונה סגולה (ראו שמות יט, ה) כמו בביטויים כנתו, ולאומתו.
    • עֲדָתוֹ - ישראל הקרויים עדה, ראו למשל שמות יב, ג.
    • רוֹמְמוּתוֹ - שבחים, כמו "רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם" (תהלים קמט, ו). אפשר לפרש כך - אלוהים מטיב לישראל ולכן הם משבחים אותו.
