  • • לְאָהוּב - כינוי לקב"ה, וכן כל שאר הכינויים, המנויים בפיוט על פי סדר הא"ב.
    • אַסְדִּיר - אערוך.
    • וְאוֹר פָּנָיו יַזְהִיר - מטבע ברכה זה שאוב מברכת הפרידה של חכמים מרבם, המובאת בבבלי, ברכות יז ע"א: "...עולמך תראה בחייך... לבך יהגה תבונה, פיך ידבר חכמות, ולשונך ירחיש רננות, עפעפיך יישירו נגדך, עיניך יאירו במאור תורה, ופניך יזהירו כזוהר הרקיע..."
    • כְּבִלְשָׁן בֶּן יָאִיר - בלשן נמנה בעזרא ב, ב ובנחמיה ז, ז עם עולי בבל. חכמים בבבלי (מנחות סה, ע"א) וכן בפרקי דר' אליעזר (פרק מט) ובמקומות נוספים זיהו אותו עם מרדכי היהודי בן יאיר.
