| פיוט לשבועות במסורת ספרד-ירושלים, אותו חיבר ר' חיים שאול עבוד ללחן של שיר ערבי. מוקד הפיוט בירושלים, בשיבה אליה ובעלייה אל מקום המקדש לרגל. מול מקום מרכזי זה ניצב זיכרון ממקום מרכזי אחר בתודעת העם - סיני, המקום בו הזריח הקב"ה אורו כשהשמיע מן השמים את הדברות, שם נתעטרו ישראל בכתרי מלאכים, כמו שמתאר המדרש המשובץ בפיוט. |
| • עִיר אֵיתָנִים – עיר האבות,ירושלים. אבות האומה מכונים איתנים. • אוֹרָךְ עִיר קָדְשִׁי יִשְׁכּוֹן – השכינה תשוב לשכון בירושלים. • וְנִיבִי שְׁעֵה – קבל את תפילתי. • אֱלָהָא עֲנֵנָא – אלוהים, ענני! • עַם עָזוּב – עם ישראל. • בֵּית נָאוָה – בית המקדש, נאוה מלשון יופי והדר. • מִקֶּדֶם – מזמנים קדומים. • עֵת אוֹרָךְ מִסִּינָי הוֹפַע – כשהזרחת את אורך בהר סיני, עם מתן התורה. • עֶשֶׂר אֲמִירוֹת – עשרת הדברות. • לְעַם בְּחִירָךְ – לעם שבחרת. • מִשְּׁמַיָּא – מהשמים. • בְּכֶתֶר תּוֹרָה הִכְתִּירָנִי – לפי האגדה המובאת בבבלי, שבת פח, ע"א, "בשעה שהקדימו ישראל 'נעשה' ל'נשמע', באו ששים ריבוא של מלאכי השרת לכל אחד ואחד מישראל, קשרו לו שני כתרים אחד כנגד 'נעשה' ואחד כנגד 'נשמע'... • עֵת נַעֲשֶׂה לְנִשְׁמַע הִקְדַּמְתִּי – כאשר עם ישראל אמרו קודם 'נעשה', ובכך קיבלו על עצמם את התורה ללא תנאי, ורק אחר כך 'נשמע', כלומר נבין את הצו. • מַה נְּעִימָה אִמְרַת אֵל – שיבוץ הוא מראשי התבות שדרשו החכמים בבבלי שבת קה, ע"א על המילה אנכי, הפותחת את עשרת הדברות: אמירה נעימה כתיבה יהיבה. • צוּר – סלע, כינוי לאלוהים המדגיש את עוצמתו. • בָּהּ – בתורה. • פַּרְדֵּס – ארבע הדרכים בהן מתפרשת התורה: פשט, רמז, דרש, סוד. |
